A Teacher for Our Community, A Voice for Our Future.

Meet the Candidate - Eric Gregg

Fountain is a community built on hard work, strong families, and a shared belief that our best days are ahead of us. Eric Gregg is running for City Council because he believes Fountain deserves leaders who are ready to bring fresh ideas, listen to residents, and put the community first. A proud native Coloradan and member of the Fountain community for 5 years, Eric has seen firsthand both the challenges our city faces and the opportunities we can seize to make Fountain an even better place to live, work, and raise a family.

Eric’s background as a high school science teacher (Go Trojans!) gives him a unique perspective on the issues that matter most to everyday families. He knows what it means to balance a budget, work hard for a paycheck, and make decisions that put people before politics. His experience working with students, parents, and his colleagues has taught him the value of listening carefully, solving problems thoughtfully, and building consensus even when people don’t always agree.

What sets Eric apart is his commitment to innovative solutions grounded in common-sense values. He believes Fountain should be a place where families feel safe, where local businesses thrive, and where the voices of young people and working families are represented at the decision-making table. By bringing new energy and perspective to City Council, Eric will focus on practical improvements — such as public safety, transportation infrastructure, and working for young families — that make life better for everyone, regardless of political background.

At the heart of Eric’s campaign is a simple philosophy: “Fresh Ideas. Community First. A Better Fountain.” This isn’t just a slogan; it’s a vision. Fresh ideas mean looking beyond the “same old way” of doing things to find smarter, more efficient solutions. Community first means listening to residents before making decisions, keeping government accountable, and ensuring resources are invested where they make the biggest difference. And a better Fountain means building a future where our children and grandchildren are proud to call this city their home.

Eric Gregg is ready to serve Fountain with honesty, energy, and a deep respect for the values that unite us. He isn’t running to push an agenda from outside our community — he’s running to give Fountain a voice, a vision, and a future we can all believe in. With your support, we can turn fresh ideas into real results and put our community first — because together, we can create a better Fountain.

In 2014, Eric graduated with a B.S. in Physics from the University of Northern Colorado. His parents, Joe and Ellen, raised him and his brother, Matt, to value education.

Eric and his dog, Sheldon, experienced many Colorado winters together, so he knows the havoc winter weather can wreak on the roads. Fountain was the last place Sheldon called home before passing.
